A Reflection on Grief

My journey through the grief of my uncle hit a turning point when I listened to Anderson Cooper’s interview on finding closure after losing his brother to suicide. “The most terrible word in the English language, ‘closure,’” he said. “It doesn’t exist. There’s no such thing.”

Five years have passed since my uncle died from medical malpractice in a psychiatric hospital. Five years I have spent seeking some sort of ‘closure.’
